CHAMBERT and
Bordeaux first growth (1er Crus)

25-Avr-08 : CHAMBERT 2007

The  2007 vintage is a special event for Chambert because this is the first year Chambert benefits from Stéphane Derenoncourt on-site consulting. We have just presented the 2007 'en primeur' at professional tastings: in Paris (George V hotel) and the primeurs of Bordeaux (Chateau La Gaffelière), and finally at the international days of Malbec in Cahors. In total, over 300 professionals attended the events and discovered our wine.

Following the tasting, there is one certainty : Chambert 2007 is very promising. Impressive finesse and balance, deep intense color and its beautiful dense tannins make it a stylish and elegant wine at a time.

What people are saying about CHAMBERT 2007...

Paris tasting - Hôtel George V :

  • "CHAMBERT the great" : Who would have thought seeing Bordeaux visitors tasting CHAMBERT (with friends and journalists) and enjoy this great Malbec ... and wanting to keep it for dinner!

  • "CHAMBERT the elegance" : For some it was a real surprise discovering how silky and expressive Malbec grapes can be. Resolutely an authentic wine of character, Chambert 2007 had nothing to be ashamed of praise received.

Bordeaux tasting - Château La Gaffelière :

  • "King's wine" : After Paris, same story repeats in Bordeaux, kingdom of wine without Malbec; many tasters, dealers, wine merchants, journalists, sommeliers, have been able to appreciate this Chambert vintage from Cahors. For them, it's simple: Chambert 2007 is worthy of a first growth (grand cru)

  • "Cahors, old brother" : The name Cahors is still not unanimous in France: there are visitors who will run away ath the sight of the word ' Cahors'! However, real professionals (those who taste before having an opinion) have recognized the great value CHAMBERT is offering.

Cahors tasting - Journées du Malbec :

  • "CHAMBERT, a golden vineyard": It was on the Valentré bridge that Chambert with other Cahors producers and some Argentine were installed to celebrate Malbec. This festival was the perfect opportunity to taste and compare Malbec wines. Many talented tasters paid a visit (Michel Bettane, David Cobbold, Anthony Rose, etc. ...). There is no doubt that Cahors has the potential to shine again and is recovering...Cahors is back!
